Dr. Russ moved to Littleton Colorado when he was 2 years old. Even though he wasn’t born here he considers himself a native to this beautiful state. At 15 his father’s work took him and his family to Shawnee, Kansas where he met his beautiful wife Audrey. They were friends all through high school until Dr. Russ finally got up the nerve to ask her out. They were married in 2005 and now have 3 amazing children.

In 2007, Dr. Russ attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, graduating in 2014 with a Bachelors’s degree in Science and a Doctorate of Chiropractic. While in school, he studied extensively on how to treat and manage many conditions of the spine from low back and sciatica to headaches and neck pain. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much training in school on how to treat and manage conditions outside of the spine. Growing up Dr. Russ played soccer, ultimate Frisbee, golf, and many other sports so his goal in school was to work with professional athletes and teams.

Things changed for Dr. Russ when he had a patient in school that couldn’t knit a sweater for her grandchild because of her severe carpal tunnel. This motivated Dr. Russ to enrolled in extra courses & seminars to become proficient in the treatment and management of injuries and conditions of the hands, feet, shoulders, and other areas outside the spine. From that point, he knew that he would become a Chiropractor in Northglenn to help others. Since then he has seen amazing results treating carpal tunnel, plantar fasciitis, elbow pain, and other conditions without the use of surgery, braces, or medication by adjusting the spine, hands, and feet.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Consultation
You will have a 1 on 1 visit with the doctor to discuss your health concerns and the reason for your visit.

Examination
After your initial health consultation, we’ll perform a complete & comprehensive chiropractic exam.

X-rays
A series X-rays may be needed to allow us to clearly determine a proper care plan. X-Rays provide us with an objective diagnostic tool that will show us the position of the spinal bones, as well as the quality of the spine and safety of adjusting it. We also use X-rays to determine how long a spinal condition has been developing.

Report of Findings
Your report of findings will be scheduled the day after your Initial Consultation. This will allow for your doctor to study your exam findings, at which point we will share the results that we found with you. You may invite anyone in your family to accompany you, if you choose. Your Report of Findings includes a detailed analysis of what you need in order to solve the problem that brought you into our office and what can be done in order to assure that it won’t happen again. We consider your current lifestyle choices, goals for the future and challenges that are standing in your way. This is why our recommendations are extremely comprehensive and have the chance to be the solution that you have been seeking to find.

Ongoing
Our entire staff strives to keep waiting times to a minimum, so we ask that all patients be prompt for their appointments so we can stay on track. Your adjustments will be given by the doctor, then anything else done during that visit will depend on the doctor’s recommendations. Stretching, exercise instruction, or other advice, may be given as part of the doctor’s plan for you. Questions are not only welcomed, they are encouraged. Knowledge is power.

I have been to a few chiropractors in my life and most adjust your back and neck, and that is it. Dr. Birdsall will adjust you from head to foot literally). I broke my ankle when I was quite younger and it has always been an issue. Since he has worked on it, it feels much better and almost normal again. I started seeing Dr. Birdsall about a year ago after experiencing knee and leg pain that was affecting my daily life and sleep. I had never had chiropractic care and wasn't sure what I was getting myself into. Dr. Birdsall and Chantel were very friendly, welcoming, and informative. Dr. Birdsall is efficient with his time, but always answers all my questions. After a couple of months of frequent visits, including different therapies, I was able to sleep through the night without pain! Dr. Birdsall does amazing work. Start going to him because of a tweaked neck only to find out I have scoliosis. Not only has he straightened out my back which has fixed alot of little issues I was having but any time I tweak an ankle or my shoulders or hip aren't feeling quite right one adjustment and everything feels much better. I can continue walking and being active because of Northglen Chiropractic. I have to drive a ways to get there but definitely worth the trip! Dr. Birdsall and Chantel are fantastic! Dr. B started working on my left hand and wrist about 18 months ago because I was having pain from working at a computer for too long. I was afraid it would become carpal tunnel, and I didn’t want to get to that point. My massage therapist recommended him, and he fixed the problem! No carpal tunnel, no need for surgery. He has also helped me with my SI joint and jaw issues, and I still go see him every two weeks. Not having to do with therapy exactly, but still a really cool touch - his holiday displays are not to be missed - he and Chantel work so hard to make the office feel welcoming and festive. He also knows of my love of otters, and he makes sure to include one in his displays for me. He couldn’t be a nicer guy, and he knows his stuff!

I have had issues for years. Degenerative discs, slipped discs, reverse curvature in my neck, and some serious alignment problems in my hips and shoulders. Suffered with migraines, head pressure and sinus issues, as well as added pain and inflammation that all of it caused. When already dealing with RA and Fibro, I suffered on a daily basis. Doctors just kept swapping and adding meds, the whole, "try this! Oh, that didn't help? Try this!", constant merry-go-round of scans and meds. Now, I have tried chiro work multiple times, just never seemed to do the trick. Came to find out, those chiros just weren't up to the challenge. Came to see Doc Russ after hearing raving reviews from my disc golf community (I am big on reviews). He took my x-rays, explained in detail what was going on, listened to my concerns and issues, and set me up on a customized program to correct my spinal and alignment issues. Immediately felt the relief of my treatments. By the end of my program my pain and discomfort has decreased by 75% and my neck now has its natural curve! I finally had relief after years of suffering through the endless list of symptoms I dealt with. Doc Russ has superior chiropractic skills! This is the absolute best chiro practice I have ever experienced. I am always greeted with a welcoming smile by his assistant Chantel. Who has been extremely helpful every visit, and has been a rockstar working with my availability due to my extremely busy and tight schedule. I would advise anyone looking for a 5 star chiropractor to see them! And I can't wait to start using the new decompression unit they have. I would suggest this treatment for anyone like myself who has serious spinal issues with compression and degeneration. Dr. Russ Birdsall has made a huge impact on my life! His approach to chiropractic care is unlike any other care that I've received. I've been seeing Chiropractors my entire life and he is by far the stand out. I sustained a pretty nasty shoulder injury about 8 years ago and he has been the only provider to actually make a difference for me. I live out of Colorado now, but I will always make visiting him a priority when I am back. I drove through a blizzard once just to have him work on my shoulder!
